Frequently Asked Questions

Do you photograph just pets?

Nope! While my main focus is on pets & their people, I would be happy to book your session for high school seniors, children and families.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm located in Warnerville, NY (12187) and yes I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your session outside of an hour travel, it may require a travel fee depending on where it takes place.

When will we get our photos?

You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum of 4 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season, size of your session). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order high quality prints!

Will you photograph my exotic pet?

Absolutely! There is no limitation on the type of pet, so long as it is not aggressive.

What if my pet is untrained, anxious or doesn't cooperate?

Most pets are untrained or have minimal training, and that is ok. The goal of the session is to capture your pets personality, regardless of the time spent to do so. Your pet will be given as long as necessary to be comfortable with its session.

What should I expect?

Patience is the first and foremost requirement of a pet photographer. I will likely work in short segments of time and may reset your pet several times while working for different shots and angles. I make weird noises to grab their attention, bring toys, and ask you if it is ok to use treats. In some cases, I may ask you to step out for a few minutes so that your pet is focused.

What should I bring?

If you would like to have a prop or dress your pet up, that is perfectly acceptable so long as the pet tolerates it. Please bring your pets preferred treats and any other item they may respond to.

I booked a session, what's next?

I will contact you to set up a time for a pre-meet. We will discuss your goals and your pets preferences for your session.

What is the booking fee for?

The booking fee is a non-refundable reservation that will be deducted from the total cost of your session.

Where will my session take place?

At a location of your choice! I will be looking for the best natural lighting, but may include flash (pet tolerance dependent) if necessary. You may choose a public park so long as it is acceptable to that park. Park entrance fees are not included in the session fee, all animals must follow the regulations and requirements of the park.

Do you photograph seniors & terminally ill pets?

Preferential scheduling is always available to these pets.

Do you photograph for rescues and humane societies?

Yes! My time is donated for these sessions.

What about cancellations or guarantees?

In the event you prefer an outdoor session or an outside session just cannot be done well inside, I will work with you to reschedule. I am also able to reschedule for any other reason with 24 hours notice. Should you not be happy with your photos for any reason, I am happy to repeat the session.
